2024 Pricing Structure

In 2023 we are introducing a tiered pricing system. Prices levels are self-selected at time of registration and have no effect on camp experience.

Many may not know that the cost of running summer programs at Bayside is actually much higher than we typically charge. Each year the generous support of many helps to subsidize the true cost of camp.

These costs include items like insurance, utilities, seasonal staff, food, facility upkeep and more. (Annual Reports)

In the past years, we calculated that the true cost for each child to come to camp was over $700. As a nonprofit charity, it is our mission to have as many campers come to camp as possible and work to keep the price accessible for all.

In light of this, we have made the choice to take a new approach to our pricing. We have made the option available to pay various levels of the actual cost of a week of camp.

This pricing is completely self-selected by families as they register and there is no differentiation, attention, or preference given based on the price paid. Price selection is only viewable by administrative staff.

Also in 2023 the price of camp now INCLUDES daily tuck ($4 per day) and a summer t-shirt!

There are three price levels for all camps:

FULL-WEEK PRICES:

  • $660+hst per camper - this price represent 90% full cost of a camper and almost no fundraising is necessary

  • $555+hst per camper - this price represents approx, 75% of the full cost of a camper,

  • $445+hst per camper - this price is our standard price at approx. 60% of the actual cost per camper.

HALF-WEEK PRICES:

  • $345+hst (Non-Subsidized)

  • $295+hst (1st subsidized price level)

  • $245+hst (2nd subsidized price level)

CORE PRICES:

  • $820+hst (Non-Subsidized)

  • $720+hst (1st subsidized price level)

  • $620+hst (2nd subsidized price level)

In the event that these subsidized prices are still too much, we have our usual financial aid form available during the registration process.

What does paying a full cost or less subsidized price accomplish?

Every dollar of subsided camper fees is offset by donations. In a typical year Bayside Camp, as a charity, raises about $125,000 to cover the total operational costs of running the camp.

Assuming in 2024 we can raise similar amounts, instead of funding operations, that money will be used in much-needed places like:

  • Camp maintenance (ie. our gravel road or the ongoing roof project)

  • Special projects (bringing back the zipline or new summer activities)

  • Raising the wages of our incredible summer teams.

As stated above, our goal is that every camper can come for a price that works for each family and we will continue to raise funds to ensure that Bayside Camp is growing as a camp and that every camper can experience a week t Bayside! If you are in a position to donate you can easily online here.

We are as excited for summer as your kids. We hope it will be the BEST. SUMMER. EVER.
